KOREA let it begin

Well we made it! We are here in Korea and i must day i like it pretty well. The first day we got here we were met by a lady in our ward named Kim Adams and her baby Johnathan who gave us a ride to our hotel. Then we stayed at the TLF for a couple days while touring the BX and going bowling with almost half the ward and almost all the youth hahah there was like 15 of us.

After my parents decided on a house we moved in right away, at first all we had was air mattresses. Now after like a week we have a refrigerator, computer, hot water, air conditioning, dishes washer and dryer, toaster, and microwave. We are still waiting on the shipment with the beds and couch and TVs and the big things. Oh i wish i had my bed but i will live without it for a couple more weeks.

School, school is good. At first i was overwhelmed and worried that i would fail or that i wouldn't have any friends but i have gone there for three whole days! and i already have a couple friends and i like it well enough. Also, this is a big deal, i am trying out for cheer leading, yeah you heard me a semi-sport i Rachel Ives am trying out for. haha Jacob is on the football team and is going to do basketball so i will get to cheer for him. All this started because one of my new friends forced/convinced me to and i guess it might help me be a more well rounded student if i am a part of a team effort and yesterday was my first practice, everyone else is 3rd, and it was actually fun. there is no dance classes here for my age so this is a robotic stiff version of dance and i like it.

Rebecca and i are the 3rd and 4th young women to the ward and the other two are sisters as well. Every one else in the ward seems very nice even if we all fit in a room the size of our old relief society room.

All in all Korea is going well. :) I miss everyone from Arizona though.

Gone By

Wow how this past year has gone, my last year in arizona, my last year with all my friends who i have come to love and enjoy being with. This was my last year with our ward full of women and families together who have been by my family and my side for the past five years. I am sad to be leaving all of you here in Arizona but excited for what new adventures wait for me in South Korea and after there Europe.

Living here has gained me many more friends than i could have hoped for when i got her and i am glad to have met everyone of them even if we have gone our separate ways now. I have been made a better person and hopefully will keep growing.

In Korea is my father and in Utah is my older brother Jacob, so all us girls and Ammon are going to California this week while everyone here starts school. Thinking about school i have mixed feelings just like i do about moving. Sad not to be going but excited at the same time.

Glad to be blogging again and hopefully i will keep it up and be able to show you all my adventures over seas.

Well i am sorry :) (Facebook is evil and addictive) WE should all band together and protest it and then go home and secretly go on again. :) Well 8th grade has flown by as every year does and next year is High School. Also next year is a move, a new country. (Korea VS. Italy) who knows, the air force are so changing but where ever we go my dad will be excited 4 years in one place is too long for him and used to be too long for me but now i am very satisfied with life and all that surrounds me and have no wish to change but i know that i will be happy whereever there is a library so to all my AZ friends i love books more than you. A sad truth hahaha jk i will miss you all but i will send pics through the evil Facebook! :)

I think i would like these books to go on for eternity. They are good, not to mention clean. Their story is captivating anf i enjoyed every second i had the privilege of reading them. Personally to myself i feel as if i could possibly be to attached to books. I mean i am reading longer than not and i love them sooo much, maybe too much, i don't know. All i know is that i am starting to annoy my friends but reading during recess, but it is sooooo DANG HOT outside! Anyways life is good. Quarter is over in one week and then two weeks of Fall Break! YeaHa!

This summer was crazy, almost as crazy as this new school year has been. Wow it all goes by so fast. I am still a bookaholic and the reason i do not blog as much anymore is because of FACEBOOK i can say saftely that i am not alone many of us have fallen behind in our blogs due to this recent bug. Too bad it is a butter fly that is pretty. hehe yeah i am now going to school at PEC and working hard to deserve a spot in the honors classes and chillin with friends. I am in 8th grade and excited for highschool next year, Even though it seems like a long ways away it is just around the corner with the two D's dating and driving! :p yeah well i hope everyone is good :) see ya

So this summer i am not up to much at all. I hang out with friends, read, books, and scrapbook, with the accational night of babysitting. But full days sometimes of babysitting my family. Well i guess it is summer. School is out and everyone is getting ready for the 110 degree weather of beautiful Arizona or somewhere else. It might be below freezing this summer for you who knows? I haven't posted in forever but recently in my life i had returned to school and life and finished school will good grades and had a little bit of a glimpse of what it is like to be "the new girl". I cannot believe in all the places i have lived never once have i been the new girl. I have always started at preschool or kinder or at a new first opening school. So this was a new experience for me. I had the opportunity to feel lonely for once and see what others feel and now i am able to understand and help those who feel the way i felt since i know that is not a kind thing to do. Know that people are sad and how they feel and do nothing. Even girls who seem totally content and happy could be a timid little girl inside waiting for someone to love them. Sorry just weird thoughts by Rachel. :)

Yeah so throughout all the crazy things of my life i left school did some homeschooling and my mom turned into a pregnant psycho woman and i started at Ashton Ranch last week on Thursday. I think i like it the only thing it lacks is decent friends. (why can't heather, reed, Rachel, baylie, and everyone else go there) Although Andrea and Alexis and Caylee and Jacob goes there they are kind of not aroundish and Jacob is a boy. hehe jk but i am ok yeah i love the pic!

Today was Easter as you all know and i just wanted to share something with all of you readers about the most wonderful man in the whole existence of this world,...Jesus, my savior. I found my favorite chapter finally 3 Nephi, when Jesus is teaching to the children. I cannot even come to comprehend the love the lord had for us. He loved and was perfect, without fault and yet he was able to let the evils of man crucify him and still be loving and always forgiving. His final words were forgive them for they know not what they do. I cannot imagine how much our savior loves us. He came to this earth, was treated poorly but forever endured it and he preached his gospel. Who knew one man could carry so much and so humbly. I love my savior and i am thankful to my Heavenly father for choosing him and i am glad that i belong to his church and know the full truth fullness of the gospel. Amen. :)

Ok so life seems to be pretty good right now. I have my books for being home schooled and i am finally on track. Except we have a visitor in our household, my great grandma. My grandma Crepps is here for three weeks and we still haven't had a movie marathon yet. We did watch Pride & Prejudice today. (real good, Darcy is so handsome! :)) Yeah but i am just really into books right now. Nicole and Kelly introduced me into a fabulous series, it is the seven waters trilogy, so there are three and i have only read one but i know the other two will be equally as good. hehe

Ok so last night my youth group went to a patriotic play. It is called "The Price of Freedom" and it was so good. Basically what it was was a show and there were people saying letters and singing about the hard times during WW2 and what people gave up to go to war and help fight for our country.

Some of the young men next to me had trouble staying awake and didn't like it but i thought it was all great. The singing was lovely and everything went together so smoothly and it was FABULOUS! We had to go up to Mesa for it because it was at the Valley Youth Theater and the drive was fun.

Everyone in the car had a cell phone and i didn't and they were clapping them open and shut in front of my face. I was sad. I wish i had a phone but "i don't need one" says my mother. hehe anyways i had a fab time and if any of you are in mesa doing nothing you should go to it. Well i hope life is swell for everyone! :)

Right now, in my life, i am on a scavenger hunt. I am looking forI don't know where i will find it but i want it. Everyone wants to be happy. Life disagrees sometimes with what you want. I want life to be fabulous great school, great friends, great life. It is not easy, i have just expected life to be good but recently i have come to realize life i what you make of it. Don;t just do whatever and expect to be happy. Do what you need, and what is best for you to achieve happiness. Helping other people achieve happiness can help you be happy too.

So a couple of weekends ago we went to flag staff and sadly these are the only pictures i took of the trip. Us in the car on the way home. Pretty much we mixed up children and got in cars. I was in the Neilsons car and we just had 50 billions ipods. To be precise there were around 6 ipods. CRAZY well look at Preston's face he looked like that the whole ride home.

Every time i look at the pictures of Preston i can't help but laugh.

(p.s. doesn't Preston look handsome in his turquoise pants! hahahah he was freaking out about how stupid he looked but personally i liked them. Hehehe!)

Ruff start, great finish

I am doing this post because at the end of the week it will be the end of the semester for my school. My tittle may be familiar, it is the title of one of John Bytheway's talks. I really enjoyed this one, it was talking about how you can have a ruff start but in the end it can become a great and rewarding accomplishment. Same can be said about my school experience. I go to imagine prep and i hated it in the beginning, i would dread going to school because i hated everything i said. Really i just needed an attitude fix. I realized toward the end of the semester i can just think i am happy and act like it and that act can become real. (Also i switched classes.) The beginning of the year i was in no classes with the few good friends i have at the school and when i switched i was able to be with my friends and i made a couple good new ones. Now i can choose whether or not i am going to have a good day. FINALLY after all these years of my mom telling me you can have a good day or a bad day but it all depends on you and your attitude. Now i know what she means! It is a great finish to the semester for me! :)

I was right. Today at church it was crowded, but something i didn't know was if someone was turning 15 this year that they went into the other room so we didn't have too many.My dad was not the teacher but our lesson was short and we did play hang man! But what stinks is i have to start school tomorrow and i am dreading it every second. I so not want to go back and the fact that half my friends go to paradise bugs me because they get a full other week till they have to go back! Oh well i just have to go back to the life of stress, grades, tests, and teachers! Life will be fine as long as i don't sleep over time and wake up at 12pm and miss half of school. oh and i have ballet this week. I don't know why but i always dread it then after i feel so great! Well it is late and i just came down for a piece of toast so got to go!

The new year!

I am so excited for this new year. It is not like anything special is happening but i am turning 14! (and so is heather.) Actually today is Sunday, the first Sunday of the month so it is fast Sunday and our church time changed to 2pm from 12pm. It is a good thing i sleep in till 11 or 12 am/pm or else fasting would be torture! I am excited and scared for today excited because all my friends from the the 12 year old class are coming to the "big kid class" (12-14). The thing that has me worried is we are in a super small classroom and have about 20 people to fit and more coming in. It is not going to be fun and i have a feeling people will be sitting on the floor. And well i thought my dad was supposed to teach the lesson today but when i asked him he said he didn't think so so maybe if he is wrong we will just play hang man or something! Just kidding my dad would be able to make a lesson out of anything, i have no doubt. Just excited for the new year and all it brings. Well Christmas is over but there is still a week left of break, it feels wrong. Not that i am objecting to break, i love it, it just seems like it is all over. We worked so hard and stressed to make Christmas and now it can oonly wind down and become normal and less like a break. Ginger Ale Wars

Let the ginger ale wars begin. Today Jacob and i were walking home from our orthodontist appointment and we had some beef jerky and soda. I had ginger ale and he had root beer. As we walked and talked he casually would spit out pieces of beef jerky in my general direction, untill one time one of the pieces went smack in the center of my forehead, spit and all. I was mad and the only thing i had for defense was ginger ale so i tried to sprinkle some on him but then he grabbed the soda from me and poured it down on me like it was supposed to be a shower and then when we go to the house he locked me out and left me with a little bit of beef jerky and some soda but he came out and took that too so i was cold and wet and sticky and alone! ;o

Rectally, in the Ives household we have been playing Disney trivia during dinner, actually just reading the cards. We have gotten really into, so into it that there are usually 1-9 timeouts in a game! We are not allowed to shout out or your off the island and it is hard to get past Jacob her know all the answers. (Especially the ones about the princesses, he got a sleeping beauty one that all of us girls got wrong, it was the funniest thing!) So that is the latest. Plus can't wait for ChRiStMaS!!! WHHoooo! Ballet (the best part of dance)

Today was my ballet class and i am just adoring it. Every week i dread going to ballet because i actually have to move and most of the time i am tired and smell pretty bad by the middle. I was glad i went today though, we learned part of the waltz of the flowers dance from the nutcracker and it was really fun and took up the whole class. Then during stretch the time flew by. I just wanted to declare my appreciation for ballet and i wanted to put something that didn't make me look like a selfish girl when you first come to my page. Well g2g to bed, i was just finding a monologue for Mr. Kerr, my theater arts teacher, he is crazy but totally coolio and funny. hehe:)

Today my friend, Ericka,'s mom took me and her to the Arrowhead mall to do some shopping. It is the winter formal dance next week at school and all of the immodest dresses she tried on she finally just bought a shirt. (Full sleeves and all! YES!) Then i lent her my knee-length skirt and i am wanting so bad to wear pj's or sweat pants! I will just wear what i normally wear to a dance, a skirt and aeropostale shirt. (it doesn't push my limit.) The only thing i really dress up for is church and that is a skirt and nice shirt! Well i only bought three things and they were all from Aero. I got a shirt, sweater, and some pj pants for pj day next week at school! So excited, school is boring but pjs mixed will school (a half day) Just totally rocks! Hehe hope everyone is getting into the holiday spirit. There are tons of sales. (Mainly 50% off!) Merry Christmas!

I was on vacation for the 28th which is a SUPER SPECIAL day because that is the day that my BESTEST friend in the whole wide world. (Maybe not i just want to say that i really don't know who is my bestest friend, just kidding mom it is my sisters!) Birthday! She is so FABULOUS and is so entertaining. Last night right after the zoo we went over to the Moss house to watch the BYU vs. Utah state. Let me tell you8 in a room full of BYU crazy fans, i felt out of plac emy mom and my brain were not functioning so we were always thinking or asking, "was that good", or "who has the ball", or "why are they on the other side of the field so fast", but my mom's favorite thing to say is, "They are like animals!" The game did not go to well starting right before half time but there was some good plays in third and maybe fourth but Utah just intercepted, ran, touchdown so many time over and over again! Ahhh!

Yesterday was one of those days where you are so tired your brain doesn't work. Well to make life even better we went to the zoo for six hours. We went to the whole thing except two little strips. We happened to see sister Aston and her kids and a wagon, so we adopted her and took turns in the wagon and holding kids. Jeff's throat hurt so he didn't talk to anyone, but me, so he was my bud, and rebecca and my dad had penny, and Leah had Mathew. There were some exhibits we stayed at for a long time. Like the chimpanzees, we were there for at least a half hour it seemed like. Also the little monkeys below they were so cool we were there for a half hour as well looking asking questions and just observing how cute they are. Well they were cuter from far away this pic i got online we never got that close! That would have been scary because apparentally the bite. So that was our day at the zoo!

Last night i went to evening in excellence it was so good. All the girls there had something and i really felt the spirit. Plus i scored on the poster for my room and there were tons of food's miniatures. (Little oreos, little cookies, and little pieces of bread with cheese.) It was just a really nice night. Okay i am just going to lie to myself. I really do know that Obama won but that just angers me so i will say McCain won. Towards the end of this election i was thinking that the candidates are both whatever and that neither of them were outstanding, but as i got involved in school i really started to understand the issues and choose the side of John McCain. One of my teachers took a poll on who wanted who to win and the people who chose John McCain he said put your hand down if your parents are not voting for him too and 1 person put their hand down and he said, "see you guys just listen to your parents and that is because you brains/opinions are not fully developed yet. In my head as he was giving this speech i was thinking," O.K. maybe my parents do think McCain but i know my opinion and it is based on two things; abortion and same gender marriages. I will never ever, ever, ever think that either one of those are right. If one that is taking the life of someone else and killing all their chances of a life and two that is just going against god's will. You know god put us on this earth and the plan of marriage was between one man and one woman, that is also why it is only possible to have a child between a man and a woman. I am just whatever about this whole election yes i would have like /john McCain to have won but i have also sort of accepted that Barrack Obama has. (tear, tear, ;0)

OK so today was SO fun! Reed, Heather, Jessica, and Ericka and I went to go see High school musical. Well it was kind of a a let down really cheesy, Gabriella's dresses looked a little bit skimpy and it felt like there was something missing, ya know. But anyway there was absolutely no one there but us, so all through the previews we were all laughing and talking! Also since there was no one to disturb reed and i ran around the theater and i did a cartwheel. Also we danced for quite a bit of the songs since some of them were a little bit ya know just cheesy i guess. Anyway afterwards we walked to sonic without Jess, since her mom came and picked her up so she could do pre-testing for homeschooling! ;( (Tear, sob. tear, cry, sob!) Anyway i got a thousand island burger and i am still full right now. But getting everyone home was so difficult, we walked heather home and watched TV at her house until my mom came and picked us up because it was dark and when my mom picked us up Ericka and reed's moms came and picked them up, i mean i get exhausted just thinking about everything i have to do! (hehe just kidding!) Any ways hope everyone is having a fabulous life! Chill! (heheheheheh!)

I decided to do something fun to add more posts to my blog. I am going to every week add a new post about a teacher i have at my school, and this week the first person i am going to do is Mr.Colo. He is my English teacher and he is pretty cool, he thinks he is too. There are days where he is happy and days he is not, but who isn't like that. But the thing that stinks is that everyday he isn't having a good day we are all crazy. Any way he is shy most of the time and is excited to read chew on this on Monday. (It is a book all about what you don't want to know about fast food. Everyone in 7th grade go buy it, it is due Monday!)

Well that is about it right now so next week look for Ms. Fuscher (i don't really know how to spell it!, my girls fitness teacher!

The beach was so pretty and the donuts we yummy for only 10 cents per donut hole i had to buy some for just me! The only thing that was wrong was it was so, so windy every one left within 20 minutes and no one went into the water! But when just my family went the next week it was perfect and no wind!

Me and Ashley sat next to each other to eat a meal of a spare rib, half a potato, a whole chicken practically, soda in a cool cup, garlic bread, and a pastry, oh and soup. I was so full!

Well for all of you that don;t know what medieval times is it is a place you go to and there is a performance with jousting and a king and princess. Also you are fed tons of food and there are no utensils! I was so fun!

Found this on my aunts blog and it inspired me! I am so excited to finally start dancing again. I always take a break during summer and i might start dancing at this really great academy for ballet. I want to finally get on point and start dancing for real and improving. The only class picture the was actually decent. My camera's lense had a smuge on my lense and the rest of my pictures were blurred and all messed up. The whole year was awesome and i am glad it is over with and i am totally excited to start the new year but also sad that i can't have that assurity that i will see all my friends every day! Before the play of Annie there were tons of practices and things we had to do to prepare. One day we did scenes of the play for assemblies. So all day we just stayed in our outfits and hung out in Mr. McComb's room! These are the very first pictures i took with my new camera that i bough for the end of the year and on!
