Art Museum

Well a while ago my family and i, along with the Stevens went to the art museum and it was so fun. We saw lots of elegant paintings and life like portraits. But my favorite part was going to the cafe. It was SO yummy! I had an Asian chicken salad. It was so delicious. Also i apologise for not posting in a while i have been busy! sorry!

Dance, Dance!!!!!! + Mutal

Well last night was the school dance. It was soooo much fun! Heather came over right before we left for the dance then sudenly Jessica, my othe friend called and took us to the dance, and after we went to sonic and i got a blended rootbeer float! It was DELICIOUS!
Well also for mutual on Wednesday my other friends Alyssa and Mercedes came over for it. We watched American Idol, we ate dinner, meatloaf and steamed sweet potatoes then at mutual we played the silly olympics, i only won one thing and in the finals i lost really bad! Well hope every one's week was great! Have a great weekend!

Service Feels GREAT! + a little prayer

Well on Saturday i voulenteered to do service in Surprise. It was cold and early but it was a lot of fun and felt good. Also there were puppies next door. When we first got to the house Brother Welman and i started to dig a hole then Elder Holt joined us. I really enjoyed digging but there were other men so i painted some of the house then went back to digging and i dug another hole with Brother Welman and in thoes two holes the men planted trees. The TRAGETY of the day was i stepped into a mud hole thing and my shoe got stuck and so my foot came out without my shoe and then Ericka, who came with me, thought it was a pipe and covered it up with dirt. So i went around in one shoe for the rest of the time. I am really sad because they were my cool boom box shoes and my only tennis shoes. My dad wants me to wear them but i don't think i will.
Well last night i went to mutual and we made prayer rocks, and today i saw it and i said a pretty long prayer and i cried, which means i fely the spirit. I am so happy. It is one of my goals to try to do personal prayers more often than never this year and on.

Gordon B. Hinckley

I don't think we really appreciate what we have until they are gone. Our beloved Prophet, Gordon B. Hinckley has passed away. ( tear, tear.) We all loved him, but i am sure that he is much happier in heaven than he was on earth. Just think of it, he is back with his wife and has met Jesus, Heavenly Father, Joseph Smith, and many others. Remember he is in a better place. :)

New Years

Well on New Years eve i went to a party at the Neilsons and we had a pool tournament and we played Guitar Hero and Wii. It was really fun but i did leave out one thing we did. At 12:00 we all rushed of to get on our bathing suits and then at 12:05 we were all ready to hear the rules of DIVING FOR GOLD. Well we weren't actually diving for gold but we were diving for coins and one quarter that had a specific date on it and it was worth a $20. Well the pool was like 10 degrees to me and i think that it was a bad idea. Heather didn't go into the pool because she was scared that she would get hypothermia. I did though, when you got in you couldn't breathe and your natural instinct is to jump out of the poll and leave the money behind. So the only people who were able to get money were the Neilson's kids: Sidney, Tatum, and Preston. No one got the $20 quarter. Then we ate breakfast: bacon, eggs, pancakes, and hot coco. It was good but i was so cold, I ended up blowing my body with a blow dryer. Then i went home and to bed at 2:00 am and went to bed. All in all it was a very fun night/morning.

Christmas in Lake Tahoe

Well i really didn't get out much so these are like the only pictures of me outside. We went sledding, Rebecca was my partner. It was really fun and i didn't hurt my bottom once.



Well for christmas i sat on the couch by my aunt Nicole and the tree! (I'm giving a thumbs up to my mom in my too big mittens, but they are cozy and keep my hands warm.)(Also they only come in one size.)

I hope you had a great Christmas because i know i did. This year my family and i went to my grandparent's in Lake Tahoe and it has SNOW! Well i figured out what my grandparents got me... A DIGITAL CAMERA! I like it but it is being kinda annoying because i lost the instructions! :( Well i got: a camera. A hat, gloves, and a scarf that all match. Some boots that are SO cute and cozy ( i wore them to the movies yesterday) Also i got a Beatles shirt, face stuff, a curling iron, and a bunch of candy! And of course my mom finally got me DREAM LIFE SUPERSTAR! (i have been playing it every day for at least 2 hours every time!) Well i better go hug my mommy so have a good evening. BYE!
P.S. I forgot to tell you that we got a Wii for our family and i got the game Dancing with the stars and have won almost all of the Amateur trophies.

HEY HEY HEY!

Well i am kind of board right now and i just wanted to say hey and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I am going to my grandpa and grandma's house for Christmas and we are going to have the best time ever together. (i can't wait to see all of the junk food and cereal he will have waiting for us in his pantry.) Also my Grandpa told me my present is great and that i will love it. He even said he would love it so i am thinking it is electrical or cozy, i really dunno. But whatever it is i am sure i will like it because my grandpa and grandma have very good taste for presents. (last year they got me this super cozy/comfortable church outfit ever! I loved it then i put my skirt in the wash and i never saw it again) (Tear, tear) Well MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Star wars moment

As i was searching for pictures of Obi-Wan i also found a picture that makes me cry every time i see it. When i first saw it on Star wars "Return of the Jedi" I just burst out in tears, of joy of course, it was so happy that Luke was reunited with his sister, The empire was gone, and he was a Jedi. And when i saw Anakin ads he was when he was good i was SO happy, and he was smiling his cute smile, i was so overwhelmed with the force. And when i did i was watching it with Nicole and Jacob and Nicole said, "Rachel are you seriously crying?" And Jacob said," She just bursts into tears sometimes." Then they started laughing at me sort of. But the same thing happened with star wars III Revenge of the Sith that was really sad. Padme dies just because of Anakin's hatred. I think i am too attached to Star Wars, i have actually tried to use the force, and i was serious too.

My B-Day party

Well at my B-day party we went to a lot of stores but e like only took pics at that one store i don't know the name of and Hollister. But we went to Clare's, a shoe store, and Charlotte Russe and i got a really cute shirt that looks like the one on my meez. Well it was a supper fun night. (P.S. i am sorry i posted 2 weeks after it was said and done!)
